OF SCIENTIFIC INTEREST - with rarely preserved remnants of carbonized skin!
Cretaceous age, Jiufotang Formation, Meileyingenzi, Liaoning Province, N.E. China. Dinosaur measures 31" (79cm) long!
This extraordinary specimen of P. Meileyingensis is 100% original fossilized dinosaur skeleton ie. no bones whatsoever have been taken from another specimen, to complete the dinosaur.
OF SCIENTIFIC INTEREST - rarely preserved remnants of carbonized skin tissue can be seen, particularly on the skull and sacrum (pelvis).
Recent discoveries have determined that Psittacosaurs had exceptionally thick skin - very much like that of sharks.
The carbon remnants are mainly scattered in small clusters with larger consolidated patches up to 3/4" square!
Vertebrae (with dorsal & lateral processes) comprise separate sections with individual bones fixed together. The vertebral column is retained as fossilized.
Imagine a creature that's a cross between a dinosaur and a bird and you'll get a good idea.. The scientists search the dinosaurs fossil buried in rocks. many fossils found in these same rocks indicate that the area used to be at the bottom of a lake in a heavily forested area. the Skelton in the animal's feet were strongly curved. On the size of its skull bones, the scientists tell that the animal was not fully grown. They don't know how much bigger it might have become. All the dinosaurs shown in the mural lived about many years ago .

Every fossil is lifetime guaranteed genuine. Without exception, any fossil purchased from TRIASSICA, in the unlikely event of being determined by a suitably qualified person or institution to be other than as we described, will be eligible for complete refund.
Jeholosaurus shangyuanensis - the largest known example of J. shangyuanensis dinosaur was discovered in 2006 by TRIASSICA. Typical specimens of the rare dinosaur from China measure 28" in length. The specimen prepared by TRIASSICA measured 43"
Dr. Gideon Mantell FRS (1790 - 1852) - TRIASSICA has been pleased to supply fossils of Iguanodon dinosaur for the private museum of Dr. G. Mantells' descendants (discoverer of Iguanodon - 1825). Fossils sourced for the family have included an exceptionally rare Iguanodon tooth from Sussex, UK.

Fossils are the remains of creatures which existed long ago. Fossils many millions of years in age. The earliest fossils date from around million years ago, To put this in context, the dinosaurs became extinct million years ago.
Fossils come in a variety of sizes, large skeletons, Teeth, bones they result from the activities or presence of creatures and plants. At the larger end of the scale, fossils also include sheels, the largest of which belong to the dinosaurs, which existed between the Triassic periods.

Triassica Fossils
These are shark teeth. That was a dinosaur shark that lived millions of years ago. Some are even larger than that. Megalodon sharks lived in the Miocene-Pliocene Epochs I actually have one of these fossil teeth that's 5 inches in length. I'd like to collect more dinosaur teeth with time. There are many types available. They tend to fossilize well and last the test of time.
Triassica specialize in dinosaur bones, teeth, claws and even complete skeletons. Our dinosaurs fossils are sought after by collectors, museums & researchers worldwide. In 2006 we discovered the worlds' largest Jeholosaurus dinosaur.
Ammonites of various species are represented here including 'fire flash' examples

Trilobite
fossils including proetus, Gerastos, Drotops megalomanicus, coronocephalus jastrowi and
more. we have examples with positive and negative plates (C. jastrowi) and large5" to 6" monsters (D. megalomanicus) !
